A Day Out with Thomas the Train and the Beach

I had learned about the Thomas the Train event from Elizabeth, mommy to Ari, Riley and Nick, and I made plans to take the Gumster to check the trains when they were near us, which was this weekend... Since we'd be in the area, I planned to follow the visit with a trip to the beach for a whole day of fun and adventure. Gummydaddy decided to join us as he wanted to be part of this experience with Gummy.

Thomas the Train was a lot of fun, we got to ride Thomas through the gorgeous Redwoods at the Henry Cowell State Park. After the ride we got to take pictures with Thomas and headed to the many play stations arranged throughout the Roaring Camps park. There was entertainment and activities for children of all ages... Rodri got his first train set and he looked --as usual .. ahem-- very cute, specially dressed up as a train engineer..

Then we headed to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Rodri rode on the carrousel several times, however, being it was a Sunday, the place was PACKED and it was very hard to maneuver with the little one, so we went down to the beach to watch the waves.. We spotted a Seal in the water and Rodri played with sand, got his feet wet and had a great time..
